The Poh Teck Tung Foundation invites benefactors to help the poor, the disadvantaged and those who need help. You can donate money, commodities, food, and others to the Poh Teck Tung Foundation located on Plubplachai Road, Bangkok every day from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Poh Teck Tung Foundation will use your donations to help the public as follows:
1. For the victims of calamities such as typhoons, floods, fires and others
2. For people who have shortage of winter clothing
3. For the collection of corpses from accidents
4. For medical services such as financial aid for hospital expenses at Huachiew Hospital, government hospitals and health centers, establish a community medical welfare unit, conduct medical examinations and dispense medicines free-of-charge all over the country, establish a medical rescue unit for accident victims for both basic and advanced levels
5. Social welfare for the aged and disabled
6. Fund for educational scholarships at all levels
7. Social welfare for children and the youth such as distribution of notebooks and writing materials on the occasion of Children’s Day, distribution of school uniforms and fund for free lunch in schools and others
8. Preservation of religion in various occasions such as being the host in annual merit-making (Thot Kathin) royal ceremonies, establish a kitchen that can be used during Buddhist religious ceremonies and other religions
9. Aid for droughts by constructing water tanks with a capacity of 20,000 liters, construct passengers’ pavilions, distribute consumables in various communities, and other social welfare activities
Benefactors, who have the following intentions, can donate money to the Poh Teck Tung Foundation to be used in various public charitable works mentioned earlier:
1) to donate money to the charity fund
2) to donate to the Foundation in celebration of various occasions of the benefactors and of the Foundation
3) to donate to other social welfare activities
