The stall has been around for nearly 40 years. In the early years, he and his brother were on the roadside stall on the Jalan Penggaram (布店街). Later, the two brothers moved to the alley. The fresh clam fried kway teow in this stall is made of traditional lard, with eggs, bean sprouts and fresh clams stir-fried together. The fried kway teow with lard has a unique taste and a special aroma.
The fresh clam fried kway teow has a very delicious taste. Even the oil is made of lard residue. The most important thing is that the seasoning is adjusted to the right. Even the fried kway teow are fried with a slightly fragrant burnt taste. In the early years, the taste of this stall was very good as above mention, but now I feel that it has lost its previous flavor and has become pale and colorless and tasteless. Pity.
